Awareness raising campaigns in migration sphere are being continued successfully

For the purpose of raising awareness of the public on novelties of the migration sphere meeting organized by Lankaran regional migration department at Astara Pedagogical College was met with interest. It was notified that today as a reflection of the achievements of domestic and foreign policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev all rights and freedoms – right for free movement and to choose place of residence, right for education, right for labor activity, right for business activity, personal immunity, right for sanctity of home, right for rest, right for protection of health, freedom of conscience- of foreigners and stateless persons are fully provided.       

At the meeting explanation on articles of the Migration Code, requirements of the legislation, and changes in normative legal acts was elaborated. Procedures for issuance and extension of temporary staying, temporary residence, permanent residence and work permits, liabilities for violation of legislation were brought into attention and rights and duties of foreign students were touched upon. Issues regarding documentation carried out by relevant structural units of universities and colleges for issuance of temporary residence permissions on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan to foreigners studying in secondary and tertiary educational institutions were discussed. In the statements the importance of a respectful approach to Constitution and laws, as well as customs and traditions of Azerbaijani nation by both foreigners and citizens was highlighted.
