International Solidarity Day celebrated at the State Migration Service  

An event was held at the State Migration Service on occasion of December 31 – International Solidarity Day.

At the beginning the anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed. The background of the International Solidarity Day established with the initiative of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was touched upon. It was brought into attention that this significant holiday has a special role in cohesion of Azerbaijanis in the world around unified idea and the celebration of December 31 turned to a necessity and moral need for the Azerbaijanis all over the world. It was emphasized that this date is emblem of unity and solidarity among the Azerbaijanis residing in various countries. In general, this holiday envisages the moral unity of Azerbaijan nation, as well as has been proved as a valuable step taken towards strengthening the unity of our compatriots residing in different corners of the world.

It was mentioned that our nation sees off the 2016 with the achievements gained in the fields of socio- political, socio- economic, as well as military development under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev. During the outgoing year our heroes cherished a joy of victory.

It was noted that the achievements of our country and its transition to a powerful state makes all of us happy, and we all have to be unanimous and have to work hard for the development of our state and statehood  even further.
