State Migration Service held awareness raising event and rendered mobile services in Zardab
In Zardab which is included to service area of Yevlakh regional migration department firstly awareness raising event was held with participation of up to 150 foreigners and stateless persons, as well as representatives of local executive authorities bodies and education staff.
At the event head of regional executive authority Mr.Lutfali Babayev highlighted importance of such meeting, awareness raising event and mobile service organized by State Migration Service.
Official of the Service informed that State Migration Service surronded with President Ilham Aliyev’s care and attention enlarged its activities in regulating migration processes via unified and prompt procedures, facilitating documentation, providing comfort for foreigners and stateless persons and increasing effectiveness in protection of their rights.
It was notified that arrival date, residence and work place, as well as departure of every foreigner and stateless person is kept under full control via Unified Migration Information System of State Migration Service.
Participants were updated that State Migration Service renders numerous services at “ASAN Service” centers. Thus, applications on issuance of temporary or permanent residence permissions, as well as on issuance of work permit for paid labor, establishment of citizenship are received.
At the meeting steps taken by State Migration Service in the direction of eradicating statelessness was talked about. It was underlined that the Service continues relevant works in all regions of the country in order to eradicate statelessness in short period of time. It is an outcome of taken measures that 117 of 147 foreigners and stateless persons who were granted citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2016 via relevant orders of Azerbaijani President were stateless persons. In the first quarter 5 persons’ citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan were restored.
Number of applications on establishment of citizenship for three months of this year was more than 10 thousand, 9262 persons’ citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established.
At the event it was stated that, previous legislation did not allow extension of periods temporary residence permit, as well as permits for paid labor activity of foreigners in our country for more than four times, however with current legislation this restriction is abolished. Explanatory discussion were held on concept of employment classification prepared in compliance with international standards and according to the “Rules on determination of labor migration quota”, uploading forecast information form on demand for determined foreign labor force on website of State Migration Service (http://migration.gov.az) and online receipt regime. Moreover information was delivered about the activity of Appellate Council of State Migration Service established for the purpose of providing transparency and impartiality in consideration of complaints of individuals and legal entities engaging in entrepreneurship activity.
At the end questions were responded.
Later on mobile service was conducted. 39 applicants used the mobile service. Applications were received from 18 persons about establishment of citizenship, from 1 foreigner or stateless person about issuance of temporary residence permit.
2 persons were presented permission card for temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 3 persons were given a reference on establishment of citizenship. 15 persons were delivered a list of required documents for application on establishment of citizenship, on issuance of temporary and permanent residence permit. Gulagha Iskandarov and Bayram Khalilov expressed their satisfaction on behalf of applicants for mobile services and awareness raising measures.
