Airline companies conducting flights to Azerbaijan were informed about visa facilitation  

According to item 6 of the Decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 16 of this year “On Visa Facilitation for foreigners and stateless people arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Final stage of the European Soccer Championship among soccer players under 17” State Migration Service was assigned to inform airline companies conducting flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan about visa facilitation for foreigners and stateless people arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan for this particular event.

At State Migration Service was held a meeting with representatives of airline companies related with mentioned issues. Deputy chief of the Service, III rank state migration service counselor Parviz Musayev brought into attention importance of the event. He informed that citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons permanently residing in those countries, arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Final stage of the European soccer Championship among soccer players under 17 can obtain visas at the offices of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan by presenting one of the following:

1. Official invitation letter of Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA);

2. The document proving accreditation of a person in accordance with relevant rules of the Union of European Football Association (UEFA); 

3.  A ticket to final stage of UEFA European Under-17 Championship or  a document proving availability of a ticket. 

Citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons, permanently residing in those countries, arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan related to mentioned sports competition can apply for a visa within the following periods of time:

-   April 1 – June 1, 2016. Persons arriving with official invitation letter of Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA), as well as persons accredited in accordance with relevant rules of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and arriving in the country related with organizational matters;

-     April 20 – May 25, 2016. Delegations and members of teams participating at final stage of UEFA European Under-17 Championship; 

-    May 1 – 25, 2016. Journalists permanently accredited in accordance with the rules of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA),as well as persons who have tickets for final stage of UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

At the meeting questions interested participants were comprehensively responded.
