State Migration Service organized mobile service in Aghdash district
State Migration Service organized mobile service in Aghdash district which falls within the scope of Yevlakh regional migration department. An awareness raising event on elimination of statelessness, rules of use of foreign labor force, fight against illegal migration was held with the participation of foreigners and stateless persons, citizens, representatives of relevant state authorities, public organizations, employers and entrepreneurs on the same day, as well.
Event with the participation of 210 persons was held according to “National Action Plan for promotion of Open Government in 2012-2015”in compliance with principles on increasing transparency in the activity of state authorities, establishing close relations with the public andexpanding public participation. At the event detailed information was given about measures taken on registration of foreigners and stateless persons upon place of stay, temporary staying, issuance and extension of permits for temporary and permanent residence, as well as work permits, citizenship issues, establishment of citizenship, determination of refugee status, etc.by State Migration Service which implements the competences of unified state body on “one-stop-shop” principle in the area of regulation and management of migration processes in our country. It was noted that applications of foreigners and stateless persons are received in electronicallyon 11 services owing to opportunities created by information-communication technologies, as well.
Continuation of measures by SMS for revealing foreigners illegally resided in country, legalization of their stay and residence in the territory of the republic according to requirements of the legislation and effective results of these measures were brought into attention with concrete facts.The questions which interested participants were answered by authorized Service employees.
Later mobile service was carried out. 82 applicants used the opportunities of mobile service. The applicationswere received from 41 personsfor establishment citizenship, from 7 foreigners or stateless persons for obtaining temporary residence and from 3 persons for obtaining permanent residence permit. 16 persons were given permission card for temporary residencein the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and 2 persons were givenreferences on establishment of citizenship. The list of documents in order to apply for establishment of citizenship, obtaining permits for temporary and permanent residence, as well as work permit was given to 13 persons. Applicants expressed their gratitude for organizing mobile service.
