National Flag Day was celebrated at State Migration Service  

At the event which was held at State Migration Service on the occasion of November 9 - National Flag Day and started with playing of National Anthem, the history and importance of this day which was established by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated from November 17, 2009 and celebrated by our nation every year with honour and proud, was highlighted.

It was noted that the flag of Azerbaijan People’s Republic was adopted as the national flag of the autonomous republic at the session of Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic chaired by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev on November 17, 1990. Thus, our national flag was born with the initiative of Great Leader.

Significance of complete understanding of their responsibility by every employee of migration body was emphasized for the sake ofpermanent waving of our national flag in the heights which is the symbol of sovereignty of the state, as well as loyalty, love and passion to our home country, nation and state, our pride, identity and national dignityand eternity of legal and political power of our Constitution.

Importance of becoming aware of Azerbaijan history and culture, at the same time the achievements of our country gained throughout the history, as well as familiarizing with preserved flags and other state symbols of the states existed in the territory of our republic in different periods, by each visitorof the National Flag Square Complex which was built according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, was emphasized.

Participants of the event watched a film dedicated to the Flag of Azerbaijan.

Later on visit to the National Flag Square Complexwas organized by a group of employees of the Service.
