15th meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Participating States

For the purpose of participating in the 15th meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Bodies of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Participating States, delegation headed by Deputy chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Parviz Musayev paid an official visit to Almaty city of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 24-28.

Discussions on 13 issues were lead and decisions were taken within the framework of council meeting.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan joined all other decisions except decisions on “Development of drafting bilateral agreements on realization of common principles and mechanisms for organized recruitment of migrant workers for employment in the CIS Participating States” and “Development of establishing unified system of registration of third country nationals and stateless persons entering the territory of CIS Participating States”.

Presentation of “Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was met with interest within the framework of meeting. Numerous questions of participants mentioning Migration Code as the first Code in CIS in migration field were answered in detail.

During bilateral meeting held by the request of Mr. B.D. Jumagulovich, Deputy minister of Labour, Migration and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic, the activity of Azerbaijan State Migration Service in migration field was highly appreciated, and their intention to study the practice of our country in this field was mentioned by him.

During bilateral meeting with K.O.Romodanovsky, Head of Federal Migration Service of Russia, it was brought to attention that invitation on his visit to our country at the end of 2013 related with the Agreement on “Cooperation in the field of migration between Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation and State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan” remains in force.
