Information of the State Migration Service on visa facilitation procedures for foreigners traveling to our country related with the First European Games

President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order “On some measures regarding organization of the First European Games” on August 08, 2014.

According to the order the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall inform airlines providing regular public service on the Republic of Azerbaijan route about visa facilitation procedures for entering the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the order of thePresident of the Republicof Azerbaijan “On some measures regarding organization of the First European Games”datedon August 08, 2014properly accredited stateless persons with permanent residence in foreign countries and foreigners could entertoand exit from the Republic of Azerbaijan with their passports or other border-crossing documents and accreditation cardsstarting from 60 days prior to opening of the Games and for the period of 30 days after the end of the Games.

Stateless persons with permanent residence in foreign countries and foreigners who bought their tickets to the First European Games can obtain visas in the Consular Department sections of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan at international airports starting from 10 days prior to opening of the Games. They must submit ticket or a document confirming purchase of the ticket for the First European Games when applying for visa.

Accredited foreigners, as well as participants of the First European Gamesintending to temporarily stayin the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 10 days are exemptfrom registration upon place of stay.
