State Migration Service Chief attended the meeting held with Heads of Migration Bodies Council of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)

State Migration Service Chief of Azerbaijan Republic Arzu Rahimov attended the 5th meeting held with Heads of Migration Bodies Council of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), on 14-15 May 2009 in Kazan.

The Heads of migration bodies of Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and the Ukraine, as well as CIS Executive Committee, International Organization for Migration, International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), Representatives of the European Union Commission in Russia had attended the meeting.

The speeches on situation in the sphere of migration in the CIS Member States were also listened at the meeting.

The participants discussed issues on preparation for the Conception on “Involvement of labour migrants to realize their labour activity in the CIS Member States” and also joint cooperation of migration bodies of member states in the fighting against illegal migration.
