Dear Memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev honored at the State Migration Service
The staff of the State Migration Service has paid deep respect and homage to the memory of the architect and founder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani statehood, National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, a world-class statesman Heydar Aliyev, by placing bouquets of flowers in front of his grave at the Alley of Honors.
The memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was also honored, and flowers were placed in front of her grave.
At the same time, a commemorative event dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the Azerbaijani state, was held at the State Migration Service.
Initially, the Heydar Aliyev Museum located within the headquarters of the State Migration Service was visited. During the event held in the assembly hall of the Service, following the performance of the National Anthem, a moment of silence was observed in honor of the dear memory of National Leader and our heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, Vusal Huseynov, spoke about the exemplarity life path of the wise statesman Heydar Aliyev, who left a bright mark on modern world history and dedicated his entire life to his homeland and people, as well as his unparalleled contributions to the strengthening and development of our independence. He emphasized that the political course set by National Leader is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, forming the basis of the country's development strategy.
At the end of the event, a documentary film dedicated to National Leader was screened.
