Chief of the State Migration Service met with representatives of the International Organization for Migration
Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, has met Dragan Aleksoski, Deputy Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Europe and Central Asia, as well as Lars Johan Lönnback, Chief of Mission for IOM in Georgia and Country Office with Coordinating Functions in the region.
Welcoming the guests, Vusal Huseynov spoke about the effective cooperation established between the IOM and the State Migration Service, the projects implemented by the Service in recent years to increase the efficiency of the migration management system and to introduce innovative approaches, particularly the Highly Skilled Migrant Portal.
Expressing his gratitude for the cordial reception, IOM Deputy Regional Director Dragan Aleksoski emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in the field of migration and noted that they will continue to make efforts to further develop the existing relations.
During the meeting, an exchange of opinions was carried out on issues of mutual interest, including the implementation of the “Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration” and preparations for the second International Migration Review Forum scheduled to take place in 2026.
