An event dedicated to Victory Day held at the State Migration Service

An event has been organized at the State Migration Service on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day, one of the glorious pages of our nation's history .

Before the event, the “Victory Corner” —symbolizing the historic triumph achieved in the Patriotic War—was visited at the  headquarters of the State Migration Service, and bouquets of flowers were laid in front of it.

The official ceremony commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then, the dear memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroic sons of the Motherland who attained martyrdom for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with a minute of silence.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Deputy Chief of the State Migration Service and participant of the First Karabakh War, Elman Aliyev, spoke about the honorable, proud, and challenging moments of the Patriotic War. He noted that under the leadership of our esteemed President , Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army, through its heroism and the unwavering unity of our people during the 44-days, defeated the enemy , liberated our lands from occupation, and restored our territorial integrity. Elman Aliyev emphasized that this remarkable day, which reflects a glorious history, is celebrated every year by our people with great pride and honor.

The distinguished guests of the event — Hero of the Patriotic War, Senior Lieutenant Gazanfar Aghayev, and participant of the Patriotic War, Lieutenant Colonel Yashar Nazarli — shared their memories with the attendeesabout their honorable and challenging combat journeys, the challenges they faced, and the emotions they experienced.

Later, the documentary film Pusqu (Ambush), reflecting the heroism of our Army and the magnificent Victory achieved during the 44-day war of justice, was screened.

Letters of appreciation were presented to the employees of the Service who participated in the essay contest titled“Victory Through My Pen”, organized by the Confederation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Azerbaijan,.

At the end, a commemorative photo was taken.
