Closing ceremony of the "Migration School - 6" project held

The closing ceremony of the "Migration School - 6" project, organized jointly by the State Migration Service and the Representation of the International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the Regional Training Center on Migration, was held.

At the event, Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, congratulated the young participant of the project and wished them success in their future activities. He noted that since 2018, more than 180 trainings have been held in total with the participation of nearly 100 youngsters within the framework of the six Migration Schools. The successful implementation of the "Migration School" project by the State Migration Service has contributed to increasing the knowledge of youth regarding migration and raising awareness on state governance.

At the ceremony, Troy Dooley, the Head of the Representation of the International Organization for Migration in Azerbaijan, and participants of the "Migration School - 6" project expressed their heartfelt words and shared their impressions.

Later, a summary video of the trainings held within the framework of the "Migration School - 6" project was presented.

At the end, certificates were presented to the participants who successfully completed the "Migration School - 6" project.

It should be noted that 30 trainings including 24 participants within the framework of the "Migration School - 6" project, organized by the State Migration Service, were conducted not only by the relevant departments of the State Migration Service but also by the project partners, as well as representatives of state bodies, international and non-governmental organizations, local and international experts.

Additionally, study visits of the participants were organized to the Detention Center for Irregular Migrants, the Reception Department and Call Center, as well as the Khachmaz regional migration department and the "Guba ASAN Service" Center for familiarization with the work of the migration division, as well as to the Representation of the International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Azerbaijan and they were given a chance to be interns in the relevant structural units.
