Election held for the Trade Union Committee of the State Migration Service

The report-election meeting for the Trade Union Committee of the State Migration Service has been held.

During the report-election meeting of the Trade Union Committee of the State Migration Service, a minute of silence held in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our lands.

Elman Aliyev, Deputy Chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor, emphasized that important work is being done in Azerbaijan to preserve and develop the traditions of the trade union movement, support the preparation of draft laws on the protection of workers' labor, social, and economic rights. He also spoke about the activities of the SMS Trade Union Committee, the work done, as well as the significant role played in the social life of the staff.

Then, in accordance with the agenda, Garatel Hajiyeva, the chairperson of the SMS Trade Union Committee, reported on the work done during her tenure.

After listening to the report of the Monitoring Commission of the organization at the meeting, the issue of electing the composition of the Organization Committee was considered, and in an open vote format, the new composition of the Committee was elected.

With the unanimous vote of the participants, Garatel Hajiyeva was re-elected as the chairperson of the SMS Trade Union Committee for the next term. Moreover, the chairpersons of the Committee's Permanent Commissions were elected, and the new composition of the Inspection Commission was approved.

Rahila Babayeva, representative of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation, provided information about the events organized by the Trade Union Confederation, positively assessed the activities of the SMS Trade Union Committee, and wished success in their future work.
