Later, Aygul Abbaszade, employee of the State Migration Service, presented the "Migration in the Republic of Azerbaijan: A Country Profile 2013-2021".
It's worth to note that Azerbaijan's Migration Profile was prepared in accordance with the first objective of the "Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration" to which Azerbaijan has also joined, namely collecting and utilizing accurate and disaggregated data as a basis for evidence-based policy. The document takes into account the relevant guidelines of the IOM and aims to contribute to application of evidence-based aproach in migration management. Thus, the Migration Profile assesses the impact of migration on the country's development based on the data on immigration, emigration, irregular migration, return migration, and internal migration in Azerbaijan. Additionally, the document provides information on the legal and institutional framework, as well as various policies and programs related to migration.
