Meeting with members of the Advisory Board consisting of representatives of the private sector held at the State Migration Service
On April 14, the next meeting of the Advisory Board under SMS has been held with the participation of the chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov.
The Chief of the Service mentioned that participation of the private sector in migration management is an important contribution to the sustainable development and strengthening of relations in this field, as well as to the constant improvement of the activity of the SMS. At the same time, he stressed that the measures and joint cooperation with the members of the Advisory Board are beneficial for all parties.
Vusal Huseynov informed about the works done in the direction of further enhancement of the business environment, improvement of migration legislation in this regard, development of dialogue with entrepreneurs, implementation of innovative methods and digitalization, expansion of the coverage of electronic services. He pointed out that conditions have been ensured for foreigners to use transparent, efficient and convenient documentation processes for staying, residing and working in Azerbaijan on legal bases. The Chief of the Service emphasized that the work towards further facilitating and improving the quality of the services provided to entrepreneurs will be continued.
At the meeting, discussions were conducted on the amendments to be made to the Migration Code, as well as on the Regional Training Center on Migration and the organization of various events in cooperation with this center on the areas where the private sector can benefit.
Then, the representatives of the Advisory Board under the State Migration Service shared their opinions on a number of issues they faced.
It should be noted that the Advisory Board under the State Migration Service was established in 2018 at the initiative of the State Migration Service. The purpose of establishing the Board is to assess the impact of migration management on entrepreneurship, to ensure the security of the internal labor market and the protection of business interests of employers, as well as to provide transparency regarding work permits, and to ensure analyzing the challenges faced by employers.
