State Migration Service was awarded

The State Migration Service (SMS) has been awarded in the presentation of the results of the evaluation on the “ASAN Service Index”. The event traditionally organized annually was attended by the Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov, the chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, as well as senior officials of various institutions.

First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the people who died as a result of the earthquake in Turkey.

At the presentation ceremony the State Migration Service which achieved the highest results during 2018-2021 was awarded a special price, and it was handed over to II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov. Delivering a speech, the Chief of the Service expressed his gratitude for the attention and indicated that ensuring citizens’ satisfaction and transparency in the provision of public services are one of the main priorities of the Service and that measures taken towards optimization of activities will continue. Vusal Huseynov noted that the improvements made as a result of these assessments contribute to increasing the comfort and satisfaction of citizens.

At the event, a brief presentation was held on the evaluation of the "ASAN Service Index" in 2022 and the results were announced. Then institutions with the highest scores on the categories of central executive bodies, local executive bodies and legal entities were awarded.

Among the central executive bodies the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population was awarded the 1st place, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources - the 2nd place, the State Statistics Committee - the 3rd place, among the local executive bodies the Binagadi District Executive Power was awarded the 1st place, Surakhani District Executive Power - 2nd place, Nizami District Executive Power -  3rd place, among legal entities Azersu Open Joint Stock Company was awarded  the 1st place, Azerishik Open Joint Stock Company - 2nd place, and Azerigaz Production Association - 3rd place.

It should be noted that last year the State Migration Service showed the best result for the consecutive four years, raising its indicators on the “ASAN Service Index” to 92.78%.

It is worth recalling that the main goal of the assessment is to collect and systematize information on public services in a single source, to eliminate duplication in the provision of services and to ensure the flexibility of management in this area by creating new types of services, as well as to expand the possibilities of analyzing and forecasting services.
