Chief of the State Migration Service met with the deputy director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation

Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov has met with the Deputy Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), as well as the deputy of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to our country, Mr. Alberto Hernandez, the Head of the Representation of the IOM in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjiev and other representatives.

Warmly welcoming the guests, the Chief of the Service underlined that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Switzerland was celebrated, as well as expressed his hope that the close cooperation of our countries in various directions, including the field of migration, would continue to develop.

The Chief of the Service Vusal Huseynov, who spoke about the work done in the framework of cooperation in the field of migration between the two countries and the activity of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the region, also emphasized that the establishment of the Regional Training Center on Migration in Azerbaijan is an advanced initiative aimed at strengthening the potential of people working in the field of migration in neighboring countries of Azerbaijan, as well as in Central Asia, the Middle East and other partner countries. Thanking for the warm welcome, Alberto Hernandez expressed his high appreciation of cooperation in the field of migration between our countries, as well as expressed confidence that relations will continue to develop.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the perspectives of future cooperation and other issues of mutual interest in the field of migration.
