Chief of the State Migration Service met with the subregional coordinator of the International Organization for Migration for Central Asia
Discussions have been held in the direction of deepening international relations in the meeting held between Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor and Zeynal Hajiyev, subregional coordinator of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Central Asia.
It was mentioned that currently 4 international projects are successfully implemented in cooperation with IOM in the meeting, which was attended by Vladimir Gjorgjiev, the head of IOM's Azerbaijan representation. Vusal Huseynov spoke about the importance of the "Support for the establishment of the Regional Training Center on Migration in Azerbaijan" project.
Chief of the Service also noted that our country actively participated in the first International Migration Review Forum held in New York last month as one of the 33 countries identified as a "Champion country" by the UN Migration Network for the effective implementation of the Global Compact on Migration.
Zeynal Hajiyev, the official of the International Organization for Migration, expressed his satisfaction with the cordial meeting and provided information on the activities of the organization in the Central Asia region, as well as the projects carried out in various coutries.
Other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
