Employees of the State Migration Service visited Ganja

In connection with the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, employees of the State Migration Service have visited the poet’s mausoleum and the Nizami Ganjavi Museum in Ganja as part of the "Year of Nizami" 2021, announced by the order of President Ilham Aliyev. Gulnara Ismayilova, chief of the Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum Complex branch of the Ganja State Historical and Cultural Reserve, informed about the life and activity of the great thinker. She gave information about the history of the mausoleum, the reconstruction work initiated by national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev. At the Nizami Ganjavi Museum, the employees got acquainted with the exposition and ancient manuscripts reflecting the rich heritage of the poet. Information was also provided about the creative samples of the artist Rasim Huseynov, who created the most elegant and delicate examples of miniature painting, reflecting the works of Nizami. The artist presented handicrafts dedicated to the 880th anniversary of the great poet to the State Migration Service. As part of the excursion, five magnificent books-monuments included in Nizami Ganjavi's "Khamsa" were also visited.

During the visit to Ganja, together with the employees of the State Migration Service who took part in the Great Patriotic War, they got acquainted with the massifs in Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, where many people were killed and injuredç as well as were subject to destruction as a result of Armenian terror.

The Service employees also laid flowers to the graves of the sons of the Motherland who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan on the Alley of Martyrs.
