Awareness-raising events held by Regional Migration Departments
The Shaki Regional Migration Department has held a virtual meeting with public representatives of Gakh district on innovations in the field of migration, elimination of statelessness and fight against illegal migration. During the event the speeches were made on the elimination of statelessness and procedures for obtaining citizenship, concessions applied during the pandemic, innovations in the field of migration and the fight against illegal migration, as well as the essence of the Shusha Declaration signed on June 15. The paragraphs of the historic declaration were brought to the attention of the participants.
An online awareness-raising event on "Migration Processes during the Pandemic: Mutual Rights and Responsibilities of Employers and Migrant Workers" was organized by the Ganja Regional Migration Department. At the event attended by employers operating in the service area of the Ganja Regional Migration Department, detailed information was provided on the measures taken by the State Migration Service during the pandemic, increase and update of the number of e-services to make the services more accessible and applied benefits.
A seminar on "Shusha Declaration in the context of migration" was jointly organized by the Yevlakh Regional Migration Department and the Mingachevir State University. The event highlighted the historical, economic and political significance of the Shusha Declaration, signed by the two brotherly countries in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, on its contribution to peace, security, stability and progress in the region. Detailed information was provided on the qualitatively new allied relations that had developed between Azerbaijan and Turkey and the prospects for regulating migration processes in the liberated territories.
An online awareness-raising event on the Shusha Declaration and migration legislation was also held with teachers and students of the Mingachevir State University.
During the event, the questions of interest of the participants were answered.
