The next meeting of the UN Migration Network in Azerbaijan held

In the format of a video conference with the participation of the Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ghulam Isaczai, Head of the Mission of the International Organization for Migration in Azerbaijan Vladimir Gjorgjiev, as well as representatives of organizations within the UN system and the relevant entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and non-governmental organizations the next meeting was held of the UN Migration Network established in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov informed about the work done by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which is the basis for the creation of the UN Migration Network in Azerbaijan, and shared his expectations from cooperation with the Network.

During the meeting, parties discussed the issues of future cooperation and joint initiatives in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, signed between the UN and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
