14 years passed since the establishment of the State Migration Service
In connection with March 19 - the 14th anniversary of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of the employees of migration bodies, the leadership and a group of employees of the State Migration Service has visited the monument of National leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors and paid tribute to his memory. The memory of prominent ophthalmologist and scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated and flowers was laid on her grave. A wreath was laid at the “Eternal flame” monument in the Alley of Martyrs in memory of the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Later a meeting dedicated to the 14th establishment anniversary of the entity, as well as the professional holiday of the employees of migration bodies was held at the Headquarters of the State Migration Service. The event began with the national anthem. The memory of the martyrs of the Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Delivering a speech Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov gave detailed information about the establishment history of the Service, as well as its activities. He spoke about the important steps taken to prevent the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that spread across the world last year, as well as mutual cooperation at the international level. Vusal Huseynov emphasized the glorious victory of our Victorious Army in the 44-day Patriotic war as the most significant event of the last year. He also said that the participation of the employees of the State Migration Service in the fighting is a matter of pride.
The Chief of the Service stressed that the awarding of a group of employees by President Ilham Aliyev with the high special ranks and state awards was the highest appreciation by the President for the activity of the migration bodies. Vusal Huseynov expressed his confidence that the employees of the State Migration Service will continue to fulfill responsibly their duties and work professionally to ensure citizen satisfaction.
Later the Order of the President on awarding a group of employees on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the State Migration Service and the professional holiday of the employees of migration bodies, as well as orders signed by the Chief of the Service were announced. A group of Migration Volunteers were awarded certificates and gifts for their active participation in the projects organized by the Service.

Chairman of the Public Council under the State Migration Service, Azar Allahveranov, who was awarded the “Taraggi” Medal by the relevant order of the President, thanked for the trust. He stressed that the NGO headed by him will continue to take an active part in the management and regulation of migration processes.
