Humanitarian assistance to be provided by the Azerbaijan Office of the International Organization for Migration to vulnerable migrants
The United Nations (UN) Migration Agency - The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Azerbaijan intends to provide urgent assistance and support vulnerable migrants to address basic food and hygiene, housing/accommodation, and/or medical needs in the scope of the “Contribution for Humanitarian Activities included in IOM Global Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan Coronavirus Disease 2019 (IOM COVID GSRP) - COVID 19 – South Caucasus” project.
Humanitarian assistance is mainly provided to migrants who are in a difficult economic situation, in need of food, shelter and do not have the financial means to meet the necessary medical problems, as well as migrants in irregular situations (i.e. those who have overstayed visas, whose personal documents have expired, etc.), low skilled/low-income labor migrants without income, foreign students, rejected asylum seekers.
To apply for the assistance, applicants falling under any of the above-mentioned migrant groups and fulfilling vulnerability criteria should register for an in-person interview by 20 October 2020 via:

The final selection of beneficiaries for assistance will be done based on individual face-to-face interviews conducted at the IOM Azerbaijan offices.
It should be noted that the assistance does not apply to the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and persons possessing permits for permanent residence in the country.
