The "Yukselish" competition organized a webinar presented by the Chief of the State Migration Service
On September 18, the Working Group of the “Yukselish” competition held a webinar on “Strategic Management in the Public Sector” presented by Member of the Management Board, Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov.
Vusal Huseynov told the webinar participants about the importance of management skills, strategic management, organization of effective communication and the main components of these categories. The Chief of the SMS noted that the correct choice of strategic management tools, definition of goals and targets, the development of the action plan, proper use of necessary resources are important factors for the team to be better prepared for the work to be done, especially in crisis situations. He also stressed the importance of monitoring and evaluation in the implementation of strategies and action plans. The Chief highlighted that the requirements for managers in the public sector are different from the private sector and in this case, it serves the highest interests, such as mastering the philosophy of the civil service, keeping in mind the requirements for civil servants, public welfare, increasing security, improving service to citizens. Noting that the manager in the public sector is a publicly accountable person, he stressed the importance of always prioritizing the rules of his activities and the tasks of management.
The webinar was held in the format of mutual discussion with the participants. The Chief of the State Migration Service answered the questions of the participants about the new projects, trainings, the work done to digitalize many services.
It should be noted that the Working Group of the competition, which is currently preparing for the visual stage, intends to organize webinars on the presentation of managers.
The “Yukselish” competition was established by a Decree signed by President Mr. Ilham Aliyev on July 26, 2019 to identify and support promising leaders with high intellectual level and management qualities, and to establish a human resources base in the country.
