The State Migration Service regularly analyzes the situation with applications and takes measures to improve its activities in accordance with the current situation guided by the decisions and recommendations of the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Based on the announcement of a special quarantine regime in our country by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers from March 24, in order to further simplification of e-applications, minimize contact between individuals and optimize the documents submitted for staying and residence permits the necessity of foreigners who are currently in the country and are unable to leave the country for the obvious reasons to apply for an extension of their temporary stay in the country is eliminated. From today applications of foreigners whose temporary stay in the country expires by April 30 are considered accepted by the State Migration Service and their stay in our country will be considered legal for a period corresponding to the amount of the state fee (up to 30 days for minors– 15 manats and 30 manats for adults, as well as up to 60 days for minors – 30 manats and 60 manats for adults) as provided by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On State Fee”.
It is necessary to pay the state fee for the entry into force of decisions on applications, easy entry and exit of persons from the state border checkpoints, prevention of becoming an illegal migrant in the country in the future, as well as relevant liability.
Payment can be made electronically through the Government Payment Portal, "ASAN payment" system and through Expresspay terminals by obtaining a payment number through the "Track the application" section on the website of the State Migration Service. Payment numbers will be posted on the website of the State Migration Service within 3 days.
There is no need to collect the decision on the extension of the temporary staying period physically. In this regard, individuals are requested not to approach the reception points of the State Migration Service.
