An agreement on cooperation in the field of migration signed between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan

A delegation led by Yerlan Zamanbekovich Turgumbayev, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is in Azerbaijan since October 13 on official visit.

During the visit, a meeting was held at the State Migration Service to sign the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of migration”.

Welcoming the guests, the Service chief noted with satisfaction the successful development of political, cultural relations, as well as economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Emphasizing importance of the agreement between the two governments in the field of migration, Vusal Huseynov expressed confidence that the document would allow further expansion of cooperation. The Service chief said that the agreement includes exchange of experience in the field of migration, including statistical, legal and scientific-methodological information, protection of the rights of citizens of both countries, and other issues.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Yerlan Zamanbekovich Turgumbayev noted his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement and expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation on migration will continue successfully and strengthen political and economic relations between the two countries.

Then the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of migration” was signed.

The guests also visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum operating in the State Migration Service. Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Zamanbekovich Turgumbayev wrote his heartwarming words in the memory book.

During the visit, the guests got familiarized closely with the activities of the Detention Center for Illegal Migrants of the State Migration Service.
