The oath ceremony held for those who have been granted Azerbaijani citizenship
On September 27, 2019, a solemn oath ceremony of 355 persons was held at the State Migration Service, following the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev on granting and restoration of citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the Decree, 338 persons were admitted to citizenship and citizenship of 17 persons was restored.
Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, lll rank state migration service counselor, welcomed the participants and congratulated them on this remarkable day. He said that every person granted citizenship is closely connected with Azerbaijan and loves this land.
The Service chief also spoke about the benefits of being a citizen of Azerbaijan. He noted that every person that obtained the citizenship right will be able to take advantage of all the opportunities of the state and participate in the elected bodies. Their job opportunities will be further enhanced. According to the orders of President Ilham Aliyev, social, economic, political, cultural and, in a word, dynamic development in all spheres is clearly manifested in the lives of citizens. That is why being a full-fledged citizen of Azerbaijan is truly a great honor and happiness.
Then 355 persons granted citizenship solemnly put their hands on the Constitution before the National Flag of Azerbaijan, swore their loyalty to the country in the state language.
The event ended with performing of the National Anthem.
