An event held in Ujar within the framework of the "Peace Month"
In connection with the UN's "Peace Month" from August 21 to September 21, an event on "Ensuring the rights of foreigners and stateless persons, migrant workers and families (family reunion) in the Republic of Azerbaijan" has been held in Ujar district which is included to the service area of the Yevlakh Regional Migration Department. This date, which has been celebrated all over the world for 37 years, serves to preserve peace, to ensure tranquility and to end any form of violence.
It was noted that over the past years the country has acceded to a number of international conventions to ensure protection of the rights of migrant workers and members of their families. Cooperation in the field of social protection of migrants is enhanced, joint projects are implemented, as well.
The main goal of the “Peace Month” is to provide people with the opportunity to secure their right to live in peace and stability, and to involve them to this.
A mobile service was also organized by the Yevlakh Regional Migration Department within the framework of the event. Questions of 5 persons on migration legislation were responded and documents for temporary residence were received from 1 person. The list of documents for establishment of citizenship was presented to 3 persons.
