A meeting held with the members of the Public Council under the State Migration Service

A meeting has been held with the members of the Public Council under the State Migration Service, whose term of membership is to expire, at the headquarters of the State Migration Service.

Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov pointed out that establishment of close cooperation with civil society institutions was one of the main activity directions of the Service, attention was attached to the activity of the Public Council under SMS and its proposals were taken into account. He stated that the Public Council plays an important role in the improvement of service quality with its useful and efficient activity. He specially noted that feedback and proposals of the public, as well as non-governmental organizations are studied thoroughly and taken into consideration in the process of preparation of new draft laws and improvement of the legislation.

Chairman of the Public Council under the State Migration Service Azar Allahveranov and members of the Council mentioned the conditions established for their activity and noted that crucial changes in the Service’s activity, as well as works done for improvement of citizens’ satisfaction, ensuring transparency, establishment of favorable conditions for businesspersons coming to Azerbaijan during last one year were met by the public with sympathy.

Exchange of opinions were held in the meeting regarding the date of upcoming elections to the Public Council under SMS, composition of the Council, election procedures and other issues.

Service chief highly appreciated the cooperation with the Public Council and awarded the Chairman of the Public Council Azar Allahveranov with a medal for his efficient activity.
