62 foreigners detained during the measures against illegal migration
Measures within the framework of fight against illegal migration are continued by the State Migration Service.
As a result of the measures taken by State Migration Service against illegal migration on July 23 and 24, in total 62 foreigners consisting 16 citizens of Georgia, 14 citizens of Pakistan, 11 citizens of Turkmenistan, 7 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Syria, 2 citizens of Iraq, 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 citizens of Turkey, 1 citizen of Ethiopia, 1 citizen of Sudan, 1 citizen of Egypt, 1 citizen of China, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Latvia were detained.
During the investigation it was revealed that rules of migration (stay and residence) within the territory of Azerbaijan have been violated by the aforementioned foreigners.
Thus, it was found out that 10 of the detained Turkmenistan citizens (mobile commerce) and 1 Turkish citizen violated declared purpose of their arrival in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It was determined that 2 Pakistani and 1 Syrian citizens did not live in the registered adress and another 48 persons were living illegally in the country.
Administrative decisions were taken about 39 of the detained foreigners, and measures are being taken in the context of expulsion of remaining foreigners from the territory of the country.
