Delegation of renowned American universities visited State Migration Service

The delegation consisting of the students and graduates of renowned Harvard University, Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT), Fletcher Law and Diplomacy School is on a visit to Azerbaijan. In the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan, the guests got acquainted with the activity of the State Migration Service (SMS) on June 1. The chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov met with the delegation.

V.Huseynov delivered detailed information about the activity of the Service to the guests at the meeting. He noted that the migration is a sufficiently pressing issue in the modern world. The chief of the Service talked about the impact of the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and of transnational projects to the migration processes in the country. He underlined the high level protection of foreigners’ rights in the country. He informed that, the working principles of such a state body in the Republic of Azerbaijan serves to the regulation of migration processes and prompt solution of the migration issues of the foreigners and stateless persons coming to Azerbaijan. Serious achievements have been attained due to the insurance of efficient state management in this sphere. The relevant measures are continued in the direction of increasing the satisfaction of service users and application of modern innovations.

Afterwards, the presentation on the migration policy of Azerbaijan and the activity of the Service was delivered, the questions on SMS were answered.

The students and graduates of Harvard University, Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT), Fletcher Law and Diplomacy School expressed their gratitude for warm atmosphere. The guests, getting acquainted with the established condition and working principle wished the Service great success in future activity.
