A group of employees of the State Migration Service visited Azerbaijan Carpet Museum

A group of employees of the State Migration Service, on the occasion of the 95th birth anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev visited Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, as the material and cultural heritage of our people and known with its biggest collection from valuable and significance point of view.

The employees were acquainted with the carpets –the cultural examples cherishing and embracing the national heritage of our nation in itself, as the result of the numerous scientific expeditions conducted in different regions of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the ancient carpet weaving art is an area where the founder of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev has always been in constant care and appreciation. Creation of a Carpet Museum in Azerbaijan, covering the researchers and carpet masters with care and attention in this field is one of the significant attempts of national leader in the way of establishment of independent Azerbaijan. Significant issues realized by Heydar Aliyev in the direction of cherishing and development of carpeting have been successfully followed by the country leadership nowadays. Adoption of the Law on "Protection and Development of the Azerbaijani Carpet Art" and construction of the building according to the modern standards for the State Museum of Carpet and Applied Art by the order of President Ilham Aliyev is a clear example of state care to this ancient craft. Also, as a result of the series of events held by the initiative and support of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijani carpet weaving art was included in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Visiting Azerbaijan Carpet Museum has made a good impression on the employees.
