Kuwait and Azerbaijan expand cooperation in migration
There was held meeting for exchange of views on the expansion of cooperation in the field of migration between our countries among Talal Marefie, the chief of the General Department of Residency Affairs under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the State of Kuwait and Vusal Huseynov, chief of the State Migration Service. The Service has expressed its interest in closer cooperation with Kuwait's relevant bodies in migration, including the expansion of the legal framework.
At the meeting, the current situation of bilateral relations between our countries was talked about. The successful policy, implemented by the President Ilham Aliyev and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for strengthening and development of these links was emphasized.
The significance of the 1st Azerbaijan-Caucasus Business Forum for Azerbaijan, held in Baku in October 2017, and development of relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries was highlighted.
Later, Deputy Chief of the Service, III rank state migration service counselor Parviz Musayev briefed about the history of migration processes in Azerbaijan, as well as the activity directions of the State Migration Service. He underlined transformation of Azerbaijan to a destination country from the country of origin, from the migration point of view. He also informed about some types of services, presented by SMS in ASAN service Centers, Azerbaijani brand, established taking into consideration of the necessity of insurance of citizen and increasing transparency in the activities of government structures. He talked comprehensively about tourism potential of Azerbaijan. interns of migration. Deputy Chief of the Service, talking about governmental measures, realized for the development of tourism informed that, in this context, the tourists coming to Azerbaijan are able to get e-visa within 3 hours and arrive and leave country without any limitation. P.Musayev noted increase of number of Kuwait citizens, visiting Azerbaijan in recent years.
Talal Marefie, chief of the General Department of Residency Affairs under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the State of Kuwait, expressed his gratefulness for his visit to our country and acquaintance with the capital.
