Workshop on migration legislation was held in Masally for representatives of tourism facilities

Lankaran Regional Migration Department held a workshop on migration legislation for representatives of tourism facilities at the Cultural center of Masally region.

The detailed talk was conducted on socio-economic development, tourism potential of our country at the workshop organized related with the launch of tourism season. It was stated that tourism has become one of the most dynamically developing fields of the economy for every country in contemporary world.  For this purpose, reforms conducted in our country during the last years regarding the development of tourism under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev was emphasized, as well as launching of the new development period of tourism industry in the regions as a result of successful implementation of adopted state programs was grounded with concrete facts. The significance of obeying the requirements of migration legislation by receiving parties regarding the tourist flow to our country was brought into attention. It was mentioned that ensuring the convenience and security of tourists is one of the priorities of the policy implemented by Azerbaijani state. In this regard the registration of foreigners and stateless persons upon place of stay visiting our country must be ensured.

According to Migration Code the receiving party should ensure the registration of every foreigner and stateless person willing to stay in the country more than 10 days upon place of stay within 10 days at SMS. As well as, foreigners and stateless persons can apply for registration upon place of stay by themselves in accordance with requirement of legislation. Applications are made directly or electronically to the Service and its Regional Migration Departments.

At the workshop questions interested the participants were answered.
