An awareness raising event held in Tartar district

At the awareness-raising event, firstly, the information was given about the establishment and activity directions of the State Migration Service (SMS) held in Tartar district, which is included in the service area of Yevlakh Regional Migration Department.

The services rendered by the Service – registration upon place of stay, issuance of permits for temporary, as well as permanent residence, determination of affiliation to the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, adoption, restoration and revocation to the citizenship were discussed in details.

It was noted that in order to ensure the security interests of the state, as well as to protect the domestic labor market the State Migration Service has been fighting seriously against illegal migration. In this regards, the Republic of Azerbaijan, as in other countries within its borders has established rules of procedures for foreigners and stateless persons for temporary stay, residence and engagement in paid labor activities.

It’s the duty of every foreigner to obey these terms and rules.

Foreigners and stateless persons, surrounded with special attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, should apply to the State Migration Service, which has set efficiency and transparency as the main criterion, and its regional departments to legalize their stay and residence, carry out their activities on legal grounds, learn and obey Azerbaijani legislation existing in this field.

It was noted that the purpose of such meetings organized by the SMS is to educate and inform the public about the essence of the illegal migration and dangers posed by it, as well as about the legislation.

Representatives of executive regional bodies of towns and villages of the district, municipal representatives, faculty and community representatives, foreigners and stateless persons participated at the event.
