As a result of a successful counter-offensive launched by the Azerbaijani Army on September 27, five cities, four settlements and 286 villages were liberated from occupation till november 9. Jabrayil city and 90 villages of the district, Fuzuli city and 53 villages of the district, Zangilan city, Minjivan, Aghband and Bartaz settlements and 52 villages of the district, Hadrut settlement and 35 villages of Khojavand district, three villages of Tartar district, Gubadli city and 41 villages of the district, 9 villages of Khojali district, Shusha city, 3 villages of Lachin district, strategic heights in the direction of Aghdara district and Murovdagh, as well as Bartaz, Sigirt, Shukurataz heights and additional 5 nameless heights in Zangilan, have been liberated so far.
On November 10, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, prime minister of the Republic of Armenia and President of Russia signed a Statement on a complete ceasefire and a cessation of all hostilities in the zone of the conflict. According to the Statement, the Kalbajar, Aghdam and Lachin regions must be returned to Azerbaijan by December 1, 2020.
In accordance with the Statement the Aghdam region has been returned to Azerbaijan on November 20.
Thus, occupied 73 percent of the region, including the Aghdam city, was liberated.
According to the trilateral statement, the Kalbajar region has been returned to Azerbaijan on November 25. 147 human settlements, including the Kalbajar city, were liberated.

• According to the Statement by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, prime minister of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Russian Federation, a complete ceasefire and a cessation of all hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were introduced.
• According to the Statement, the Kalbajar region will be returned by November 15, 2020, the Aghdam region – by November 20, and the Lachin region of Azerbaijan – by December 1.

20 November 2020
• According to the trilateral Statement signed on 10 November, the Aghdam region has been returned to Azerbaijan. Thus, occupied 73 percent of the region was liberated. It should be reminded that Aghdam is the largest region in terms of population among the occupied regions. There are 138 human settlements in the region.

• According to the trilateral statement, the Kalbajar region has also been returned to Azerbaijan.

It should be reminded that Kalbajar is one of the largest regions of our Republic in terms of territory.
According to data for 1 January 2020, the population is over 77 thousand people. There were 147 human settlements in the region before the occupation.
