Oath ceremony held at  State Migration Service with persons who adopted or restored the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan

 

On April 3, the oath ceremony held at the State Migration Service for the persons who adopted and restored the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan. They solemnly swear the oath by placing their hands on the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in front of the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in official language that they will be faithful to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the oath ceremony for the persons who adopted or restored the citizenship with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was noted that, in accordance with the development strategy founded by National Leader Haydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev has ensured to turn the country into a center of regional and international economic cooperation. Socio-economic development of the country, political stability, existing security environment, measures taken to protect migrants' rights and freedoms, as well as geopolitical position of the country, extent of transit opportunities and tourism potential intensify migration processes to Azerbaijan from various parts of the world, and increase the number of persons willing to adopt citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan year by year.

At the meeting, the importance of the right to citizenship had been discussed, which is one of the basic human rights of every person and it was stressed that every citizen should have a responsible attitude towards the state.

Afterwards, 35 persons who adopted and restored the citizenship solemnly took the oath before the National flag by placing their hands on the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan that they will be faithful to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The ceremony concluded with the performing of National Anthem.

It’s worth to mention that the oath is conducted in accordance with the “Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

Citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan taking the oath, signs text of oath and this document is reserved at state Migration Service.
