8 March - International Women's Day was celebrated at the State Migration Service
State Migration Service held an event dedicated to March 8, International Women's Day.
At the event, chief of the State Migration Service (SMS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev congratulated female employees of the service on the occasion of International Women's Day, highlighted the special care provided to women in our country. Mr. Nabiyev noted that historically there has always been a great respect and esteem for the women and mother in Azerbaijan.
It is gratifying that, today Azerbaijani women is actively involved in the country's socio-political, economic and cultural life, and highly contribute to the settlement of important national challenges. The successful policy of Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, in the socio-political life of the country is a vivid example of an active and successful working Azerbaijani woman. It was noted that contribution of women to the development of science, education, culture, health, as well as to migration is a proof of their large potential.
At the end, the participants were familiarized with the handcrafts of the service employees at the exhibition.
