The principles of rule of law, justice and humanity prevails in the migration policies of Azerbaijan and Turkey
The delegation headed by the Chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev met with the deputy minister of foreign affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Yildiz.
The reciprocal migration of the citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan, facilitation of arrival - departure, control over this process via various mechanisms, positive effects of migration in the country’s prosperity, preventive measures taking into consideration the aftermaths of migration crisis occurring in the region were discussed at the meeting. The exchange of opinion was conducted around the expansion of cooperation in this sphere and future perspectives as well. It was noted that principles of rule of law, justice and humanity prevails in the migration policies of our fraternal countries.
Phrasing his appreciation for an assertive stand demonstrated by Turkey in Armenian- Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict as a fraternal country supporting Azerbaijan in all spheres, Firudin Nabiyev stressed that failure in solving its problem up to now in accordance with the existing resolutions of UN Security Council, the international community’s silence with respect to Armenia’s insistence in its aggression policy, the presence of fact of invasion up to now, the dual-standard approach by the international organizations with respect to the principles of territorial integrity are key reasons behind the emergence of new conflicts in the world, mass violation of human rights and millions of innocent people becoming refugees and IDPs.
Noting that comprehensive development of Azerbaijan is welcomed in Turkey Ahmed Yildiz stated that fraternal relations will be further continued with determination.
The sides stressed that failure to solve Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh problem within international legal norms until now, as well as Turkey’s nightmare of terrorism and confrontation with migrant problem is the consistent part of double standards in the world.
Emphasizing that the Order about restoration of Cocuq Mercanli village is the next courageous step of our head of state, Ahmed Yildiz regarded this as the beginning of the great return of Azerbaijani people to Karabakh.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Turkey and other officials.
