Effective discussions were held in Ankara regarding the labor migration issues between Azerbaijan and Turkey
As it was reported, the delegation headed by the chief of State Migration Service (SMS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev is on a visit to Turkey.
On February 1, the delegation met with the minister of Labor and Social Protection of Turkey, Mehmet Muezzinoglu.
The importance of comprehensive ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey was discussed and the joint efforts of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on strengthening interstate relations were emphasized at the meeting.
The minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu brought into attention that the cooperation links between two countries in the migration sphere along with the political, economic and other spheres are being strengthened constantly.
F.Nabiyev pointed out that the strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey covers the fields of migration, labor and employment at the same time. He touched upon the Agreement signed in the framework of the President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Turkey in November 2013, on cooperation between the governments of two countries in the fields of labor, labor migration, social protection and employment, likewise in other fields. He asserted that the cooperation of the authorized entities of Azerbaijan and Turkey serves for the improvement of labor migration system in both countries and this cooperation will be successfully continued even further.
Service chief emphasized that citizens of brotherly country have been engaging in paid labor activity in the fields of construction, oil-gas and energy sector, manufacturing industry, giant industrial projects, organization of residence and public welfare, education, wholesale and retail trade, agriculture, tourism, automobile repair as a labor migrant, as well as protection of their rights and generally, of all migrants are on high level in Azerbaijan. Assurance was expressed on surrounding of Azerbaijani citizens with such care in brotherly country, as well.
Later effective exchange of opinion was conducted on migration, as well labor migration, factors affecting them, regulation mechanisms of this process, legislative base on this field and other issues. At the same time, establishment of favorable condition for activity of businessmen, as well as expanding the cooperation in the field of labor migration between Azerbaijan and Turkey and its perspectives were discussed.
The ambassador of Azerbaijan in Turkey Faig Baghirov, head of Turkey-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Nejdet Univar and other officials participated at the meeting.
