Meeting at State Migration Service
On November 17 chief of State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzada. Service chief congratulated the guest on appointment as an Ambassador in our country, talked about measures taken by the heads of states for development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. He spoke with satisfaction of both socio-economic and cultural relations of the two neighboring countries, expressed assurance of the further continuation of the cooperation. The development of the country, including various regions of the republic was discussed and attention was drawn to the tourism potential of Azerbaijan.
Speaking about more effective implementation of the cooperation in migration field Service chief emphasized that significant opportunities have been created for flexible and efficient activity of businessmen in Azerbaijan. F.Nabiyev stated that procedures on stay and residence of foreigners investing and carrying out entrepreneurship activity in Azerbaijan, as well as work permits have been sufficiently facilitated in the Migration Code. This opened up new opportunities for foreigners to start up business in Azerbaijan. Service chief expressed assurance that these opportunities will be more broadly used by the Iranian businessmen as well.
Thanking for warm welcome Javad Jahangirzada stated that he was proud of his activity as Ambassador in our country. He stressed that he will make efforts in order to further expand and deepen the relations between the two countries, as well as to develop relations in all spheres, including migration during his diplomatic activity. He mentioned that there is an increase in the number of the citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran visiting Azerbaijan owing to the stability, the religious and linguistic proximity.
At the meeting exchange of views was conducted on other mutually interesting issues on migration as well.
