Bilateral meeting of delegations of Azerbaijan and Moldova held at State Migration Service

The purpose of the meeting was to conduct second round of bilateral negotiations on draft “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on Readmission”.

Deputy Chief of the Service, III rank state migration service counselor Parviz Musayev stated that signing of the mentioned Agreement will ensure more efficient fight against illegal migration along with strengthening cooperation between the governments in the field of readmission.     

Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Babin talked about significance of the project and stated their interest in finalization of the negotiations.

It should be noted that delegation of the Republic of Moldova included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova in our country George Leuka, Director of Bureau of Migration and Refugees of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Moldova Olga Poalelunj, Chief of General Directorate of International Relations and European Integration Christina Lesnik and advisor of the General Directorate of International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ion Bularga.

Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented by competent officials from State Migration Service, Ministry of internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, State Security Service and State Border Service.

At the meeting bilateral discussions were carried out on relevant Articles of the draft Agreement.

At the end of the meeting minutes of the second round of bilateral negotiations on the Agreement was drafted and signed by heads of the delegations.
