Perspectives of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Dubai Emirate on migration discussed

Delegation under the leadership of Chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev is on official visit in Dubai city of United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Delegation under the leadership of Chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Firudin Nabiyev participated in “GITEX 2016” technology week exhibition in the frame of visit to Dubai Emirate at the invitation of major general Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of Dubai Emirate of United Arab Emirates.

After familiarization with the latest innovations in migration, technology and other spheres at the exhibition Service Chief had a meeting with Chief of Dubai International Airport on migration issues, brigade general Talal Shangiti.

At the meeting between Firudin Nabiyev and major general Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri high level relations between Azerbaijan and UAE, including Dubai was mentioned with satisfaction. It was emphasized that mutual visits of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum played a significant role in achievement of existing high level of bilateral relations.

After the discussions video presentation on activity directions of the General Directorate was demonstrated. After the presentation opinion exchange was conducted on development of cooperation between the two agencies, questions interesting the parties were responded.

Later Azerbaijani delegation got familiarized with the condition created at the building of the General Directorate, including museum of visas, citizenship and passports, ancient passports, activity of innovation center, training and other sectors.

At the end memorial gift was presented to Mr. Al Marri on behalf of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
