Participation of Azerbaijani delegation at high-level Summit of UN General Assembly is planned
Participation of the delegation headed by the chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev is planned at high-level Summit of UN General Assembly on “Addressing large movements of refugees and migrants” which will be held on September 19 in New-York city of USA.
The aim of the meeting which will be headed by the president of UN General Assembly is to bring countries together behind a more humane and coordinated approach in mentioned field.
A number of state and government heads, ministers, representatives of scientific-research centers and civil societies are expected to participate at the meeting which will be held in plenary session and six round table formats.
The urgent issues like preventing of large refugee movements, migration, especially
addressing the root causes of large movements and highlighting the positive contributions of migrants will be discussed at the round tables.
A speech by the head of Azerbaijani delegation is planned at the event.
It is planned to adopt the Declaration as a result of discussions during the aforementioned event.
