A meeting was held with hotel representatives at State Migration Service
At the meeting held with the representatives of hotels located in Baku information was delivered on procedures of registration at State Migration Service upon place of stay within 10 days after arrival in accordance with requirements of Migration Code in case foreigners and stateless persons visiting our country intend to stay in the territory of the country for more than 10 days.
It was stressed that the management of the places of stay of the foreigner or stateless person (hotel, sanatorium, rest home, guest house, campsite, tourist base, hospital or other similar places) or the owner of the apartment or other residential area where the foreigner or stateless person stay should submit application for registration upon place of stay and copy of the passport or other border crossing document of that person through web information resource of State Migration Service, e-mail or in person to relevant regional migration departments.
Foreigners and stateless persons themselves can apply for getting registered upon place of stay in compliance with the rules envisaged by the Migration Code.
It was brought into attention that consistent measures are taken both in the Service Headquarters and regional migration departments for convenient, operational and transparent service for applicants and special emphasis is put to application of information and communication technologies. As a result of such measures applications of foreigners and stateless persons upon 11 types of service are received online as well. One of these services is online registration upon place of stay. For that purpose applicants should enter “Online services” section at the webpage of the Service www.migration.gov.az, sign up as physical or juridical person in registration upon place of stay window and ensure registration of foreigner or stateless person.
Later on online procedures of registration upon place of stay of foreigners and stateless persons were visually explained.
It was particularly highlighted that management of hotels chosen by foreign guests, especially by tourists should be more responsible in the providing registration of foreigners and stateless persons upon place of stay in compliance with the rules envisaged by the legislation.
