Meeting was held with officials of MOBILAZE project in State Migration Service  

On June 22, chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev met with officials of “Support to the Implementation of Mobility Partnership with Azerbaijan (MOBILAZE)” project which is implemented in the framework of “Joint Declaration on a Mobility Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union and its Participating Member States” signed in Brussels on December 5, 2013.

Service chief talked about gained results in the field of management and regulation of migration processes in Azerbaijan in a contemporary period in which migration and migrants themes are pressing. He stated that excellent migration legislation was formed in our Republic.  The special care and attention of the President Ilham Aliyev in achievement of these successes was emphasized.

F.Nabiyev noted the taken measures towards implementation of “Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union on readmission of persons residing without authorization” by touching upon close cooperation between our country and the European Union in the fields of readmission, migration and prevention of illegal migration.

The opinion exchange was conducted on measures which will be taken in the frame of project. The importance of participation of State Migration Service in the project and issues on perspective were discussed.

It was expressed with confidence that the project will achieve goals set forward and contribute to expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the field of migration.

The project manager at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development and head of “Support to the Implementation of the Mobility Partnership with Azerbaijan (MOBILAZE)” project Violeta Vagner expressed her gratitude for sincere reception.
