On October 6, meeting was held with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in our country at State Migration Service

Firstly, chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev touched upon the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. Service chief pointed out that achievements gained in all fields in Azerbaijan with the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, provision of socio-economic progress, stability, security at high level make our republic attractive for foreigners. F.Nabiyev talked about facilitation of relevant procedures which are indicated in migration legislation of our country such as, registration upon place of stay of foreigners and stateless persons, grounds and durations of their residence in the country, issuance of work permit and application of other envisaged norms. All the mentioned issues were appreciated as an example of care and attention of Azerbaijan State to foreigners and stateless persons who visit our republic.

Increase of mutual visits of both countries’ citizens was estimated as an example of developing cooperation between our states.

Noting the growing interest on extension of bilateral relations of the country represented by him, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in our country Mr. Saud Abdulaziz Mohammad Al-Shamlan Al-Roumi talked with satisfaction about rapid development and construction works carried out in Azerbaijan, mentioned that draft “Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait on air connection” has been accordingly agreed a few months ago and expressed hope that implementation of regular flights between countries will be launched soon. The diplomat underlined that large number of tourists come to our country from Kuwait and interest of Kuwaiti entrepreneurs to invest in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador appreciated signing of “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the State of Kuwait on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service/special passports” 4 years ago as a gratifying case.
