On June 10, 2014, Chief of the State Migration Service met with persons who recently acquired and restored citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan

At the meeting Service chief, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev congratulated the persons who acquired and restored citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Service chief stated that as a result of successful reforms implemented by our head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev in accordance with development strategy of Azerbaijan established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, social-economic life of our country develops uninterruptedly, welfare of our people improves day-by-day. Every citizen feels this rapid development in his/her daily life, and even this progress can be observed abroad, as well. Exactly as a result of this, the number of persons intending to live, work, study and to be citizen of our country is increasing year-by-year.

F. Nabiyev mentioned that 111 foreigners and stateless persons acquired citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan; citizenship of 2 persons was restored with the relevant Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Later on list of persons who acquired citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and whose citizenship were restored was read out. Service chief wished the persons acquired and restored citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and whose joy doubled on the eve of National Salvation Day to be citizens worthy to our state.

Participants of meeting expressed their deep gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev for such great trust and stated that they will carry the name of citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan with pride.     

National anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played at the end of the event.

It should be mentioned that 231 persons acquired citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and citizenship of 10 persons was restored during the last year.
