Meeting with persons newly admitted and restored the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the State Migration Service

On November 22, chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev met with people who recently admitted and restored the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the meeting held at the Service, Firudin Nabiyev talked about the development of our country, achievements gained as a result of recently implemented reforms in Azerbaijan, leader state of the region, according to the development strategy founded by great leader Heydar Aliyev. He notified contributions to political, economic and cultural environment of the world by our republic while as an authorized member of international community constancy is provided on high – level tolerance is exemplary. He pointed out that abovementioned factors causing interest to our country abroad results increase in number of persons wishing to live, work, study in our republic, thus become Azerbaijan citizens year – by – year. Chief of the Service mentioned the importance of meeting with people achieved this desire and stressed that it is the second time this year on which such a memorable event is held. He congratulated the persons acquired and restored the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to relevant Orders of President and Commander – in – Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Afterwards list of persons newly admitted and restored the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan was read out.

It should be noted that 150 foreigners and stateless persons were admitted to the citizenship and citizenship of eight persons was restored to. Majority of thus persons are stateless persons.

Service chief expressed his confidence that everyone among this people will be worthy citizen to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Participants shared their joy, stated that they will carry the name of citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan with pride and expressed their gratitude to the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev for this great trust.

Event ended with rendition of the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be remind that in addition 111 persons were admitted to the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and citizenship of two persons was restored this year.
